A hands-on look at how our CTO demonstrates the science behind battery recycling and material recovery.
We’re proud to share that our CTO Dr. Kerli Liivand was recently featured in the Estonian science TV program TeadusEST, where she demonstrated how battery recycling is performed in practice.

In the episode, Kerli walks viewers through the step-by-step recovery of materials from used batteries — including the graphite and metals that often go to waste. The segment offers a rare, hands-on look at how science, engineering, and sustainability meet in the real world.
“Battery recycling is much more than just waste management — it’s about creating new value from materials that already exist,” said Dr. Liivand. “Our goal is to make this process more efficient, sustainable, and circular.”
